Dear Authors,

Sending a reminder about the 31 January 2021 deadline to have your full paper submitted. As we mentioned previously, we wanted to assure you that all papers will be published in the Proceedings, whether or not you are able to attend the meeting in person. The National Organizing Committee is meeting February 17 to decide how the IGC/IRC Congress format will be adapted based on the limitations of the Covid pandemic. Based on initial discussions, we are expecting that the Congress will be held in a hybrid format. This would mean that in-person attendance will be strongly encouraged, but you would also have the option of attending and presenting your presentations/posters virtually. We will inform of the decision and details in late February.

Dr. Ray Smith, Chair of the IGC Continuing Committee, also wanted to inform all delegates that  the Congress Proceedings will be available for downloading in their entirely as in the past, but also individual papers will be uploaded in a format that will allow easy access through any search engine. Once accessed, they can be downloaded as an individual paper and authors can also obtain metrics information including the number of downloads. As an example, see Dr. Smith’s paper presented at the 23th IGC Congress in India in 2015https://uknowledge.uky.edu/igc/23/keynote/27/. He pulled up the paper simply by googling “Grassland Policy.” Proceedings that are currently online using this format go back to the Joint IGC/IRC Congress in China in 2008. Uploading Proceedings papers in this format will make them more readily available to interested scientists around the world.

Authors of oral presentations and poster presentations that have been accepted for the Joint XXIV International Grassland and XI International Rangeland Congress, are expected to submit their full paper (minimum 3 pp, maximum 4 pp) by January 31st 2020.  Requirements and the template for the full papers can be found on the Congress web site at http://2021kenya-igc-irc.rangelandcongress.org/?page_id=503

When your paper is ready for submission, follow these instructions to upload it:

Instructions:

1. Log in to the conference management web site: https://igandircongress2020.dryfta.com.
2. Navigate to “My Abstracts”.
3. Click on the highlighted title of your abstract.
4. When the page loads, scroll down to “Upload full paper”.
5. Click the “Browse” button below the heading “Upload full paper”.
6. Find and select the document file that is your paper.
7. Select the file, then click OK, ENTER or OPEN (depending on your system) to upload the paper.

IMPORTANT!

Scroll to the bottom of the web page and click “Update”.
